Cider Chicken Tacos

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients:
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup Cider Keg Salsa with Cider
1-2 tbsp chopped canned chipotle chilies (optional)
1 tbsp chili powder
coarse salt and ground pepper
8 hard or soft taco shells
cilantro, shredded cheese, lime wedges, sour cream, salsa for serving

INSTRUCTIONS 

Slow Cooker Directions:
In slow cooker, combine chicken, garlic, salsa, chilies, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours (or on low for 8 hours). Transfer chicken to a serving bowl and pull/shred using a fork.  Moisten with cooking juices. Serve in taco shells, with desired toppings.
Oven Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine chicken, garlic, salsa, chilies, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a 5 qt Dutch oven or ovenproof pot with a tight-fitting lid.  Add 1/4 cup of water and cook until tender (minimum internal temperature 165 F).  Transfer chicken to a serving bowl and pull/shred using a fork.  Moisten with cooking juices. Serve in taco shells, with desired toppings.
